Coming Soon to Hollywood Obsessed
Gregory Harrison was one of the undeniable sex symbols of late-1970s and early-1980s television—there was simply no one hotter on the small screen at the time. So needless to say, spending an hour with him was beyond thrilling for me. He first captured hearts as Dr. George Alonzo “Gonzo” Gates on Trapper John, M.D. (1979–1986), before cementing his pop-culture heartthrob status as stripper John Phillips in the 1981 TV movie For Ladies Only. He later revealed a darker edge as ruthless tycoon Michael Sharpe on Falcon Crest and, in recent years, has charmed audiences as Joe O’Toole in Hallmark’s Signed, Sealed & Delivered films and brought gravitas to daytime TV on General Hospital (2020–2024).
Blanche Baker was an absolute thrill to interview—especially for someone who grew up obsessed with John Hughes films like Sixteen Candles. Speaking with the actress who memorably played Molly Ringwald’s sister felt surreal. The daughter of Oscar-nominated actress Carroll Baker, Blanche won a Primetime Emmy for her work in Holocaust and went on to an impressive career spanning French Postcards, The Seduction of Joe Tynan, Raw Deal, and The Handmaid’s Tale. In 2012, she also showcased her talents as both producer and star of Ruth Madoff Occupies Wall Street.
Marc Singer was a dream guest for this lifelong action and sci-fi fan. Rising to fame as Dar in The Beastmaster and becoming legendary as Mike Donovan in V, V: The Final Battle, and V: The Series, Marc is a true genre icon. His résumé also includes Dallas, The Twilight Zone, Highlander: The Series, and much more—giving me no shortage of (very nerdy) questions.
Pamelyn Ferdin was a massive star of my childhood, and chatting with her felt like revisiting my entire ’70s TV upbringing. With more than 250 television and film appearances, she became one of the most recognizable child performers of her era. She’s especially beloved for voicing Lucy Van Pelt in A Boy Named Charlie Brown and Fern in Charlotte’s Web, along with memorable roles on The Odd Couple, Star Trek, The Beguiled, and The Toolbox Murders. And that’s just scratching the surface.
Robert Duncan McNeill was a true pinch-me moment for this lifelong Star Trek fan. Best known as Tom Paris on Star Trek: Voyager and Nick Locarno on The Next Generation, he also appeared on All My Children and Masters of the Universe. Today, he’s a highly respected director and executive producer with credits including Chuck, Resident Alien, The Gifted, and Turner & Hooch. Trekkies—this one’s for you.
Sarah Douglas has held a special place in my heart ever since I first saw Superman and Superman II. Her portrayal of Ursa was fierce, unforgettable, and utterly iconic. Beyond Superman, Sarah delivered memorable turns in Conan the Destroyer, Falcon Crest, V: The Final Battle, and countless other projects. Our conversation is fun, lively, and packed with nostalgia—you won’t want to miss it.
Sheree J. Wilson is every bit as charming, open, and engaging as you’d hope. She shares fantastic stories from Dallas and Walker, Texas Ranger, along with her later career producing independent films and her passion for horse rescue and equine therapy. We had an absolute blast, and I know you’ll be just as enchanted as I was.
Christopher Atkins is as kind and down-to-earth as he is iconic. From The Blue Lagoon and The Pirate Movie to A Night in Heaven and Dallas, Christopher reflects on more than four decades in the spotlight. This is a warm, fascinating conversation you won’t want to miss.
Denise Nicholas is a true trailblazer, making television history on Room 222 and later starring opposite Sidney Poitier before returning to series television on In the Heat of the Night. Her riveting memoir, Finding Home, made for a deeply engaging conversation that I think you’ll truly enjoy.
James “Duke” Mason and I go way back, so this episode feels more like one of our classic phone chats—uncensored, funny, and heartfelt. From growing up surrounded by The Go-Go’s to his work in politics and advocacy, Duke tells me all about maintaining his grandfather's (James Mason) Hollywood legacy, and his current life journey is endlessly fascinating.
Paul Rudnick is one of the most talented writers I’ve ever interviewed. From Sister Act and Addams Family Values to Jeffrey, In & Out, and The Devil Wears Prada, Paul offers incredible insight into his work, his process, and his latest novel, The Tuxedo Society.
Don Stroud has lived a life that feels straight out of a movie—surfing in Hawaii, working at the Whisky a Go Go, and appearing in over 100 films and nearly 200 TV shows. From Coogan’s Bluff and The Amityville Horror to Licensed to Kill and Django Unchained, his stories absolutely blew me away.
Susan Seidelman has been at the top of my wish list since day one. From her directorial debut Smithereens and Desperately Seeking Susan to She-Devil and Sex and the City, her stories—and insights from her memoir Desperately Seeking Something—are nothing short of epic.
Matthew Laurance (Eddie & The Crusiers), Mews Small (One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest), Robert Hays (Airplane!), Lydia Cornell (Too Close For Comfort), Cliff De Young (Flight of the Navigator), Bonnie Bartlett (St. Elsewhere), Gary Frank (Family), Dedee Pfeiffer (Big Sky), Joel Thurm (Grease), Peter Coyote (Jagged Edge), Marilyn Sokol (Foul Play), and Randall Carver (Taxi) round out an absolutely stacked year—each bringing unforgettable stories, deep nostalgia, and behind-the-scenes magic that defines Hollywood Obsessed.
And that’s only the beginning!
