In Part Two of my conversation with actor ERIC MABIUS, we dive into how he landed the role of Daniel Meade on ABC’s hit series “Ugly Betty”—a part that came along just as he was celebrating his honeymoon! Eric shares the surprising story behind his meeting with the network, how Daniel evolved from a self-absorbed playboy into a much more lovable character, and the special on-screen chemistry he shared with America Ferrera. He reflects on the show's groundbreaking storytelling, its lasting impact, and why the cast remains so passionate about bringing “Ugly Betty” back. Could a reunion or limited series be in the cards?

Eric also takes us behind the scenes of the show's memorable run, recalling its Golden Globe-winning celebration, an unforgettable night involving Prince, and his experiences working with Vanessa Williams, Judith Light, and Alan Dale. He shares what it was like being named to People magazine's “Sexiest Men Alive” list in 2006 and reflects on the friendships and family-like bonds that developed among the cast. Plus, hear why he still has such a special place in his heart for his television parents.

We then turn to Hallmark's beloved “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” where Eric has spent more than a decade playing the very different but equally memorable Oliver O'Toole. He discusses the show's creator, Martha Williamson, the emotional twists & turns that keep the cast guessing, and the beautifully developed romance between Oliver and Shane, played by Kristin Booth. Eric also shares heartfelt stories about working with his television dad, Gregory Harrison, including the valuable life lessons and advice he's received from him. And could another “Signed, Sealed, Delivered “movie be on the horizon? Eric has some exciting thoughts!

Finally, we talk about fame, the importance of pursuing acting for the right reasons, and why there are no shortcuts to building a lasting career. Eric reveals some projects he'd love to explore, including ideas for a family-friendly spy series, and reminisces about classic television favorites like “Moonlighting” and “Remington Steele.” Most importantly, he shares how rewarding it is to know that new generations are discovering and enjoying “Ugly Betty” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” through streaming. It's a heartfelt, revealing conversation filled with wonderful Hollywood memories, behind-the-scenes stories, and a few exciting possibilities for the future.
